Snow White, the Little Mermaid, Cinderella, and other princesses are planning to attend a private and lavish five-day-long ball. Alas! Every prince in the land is planning to crash the party. As a free and independent princess, you seek to avoid these overeager Prince Charmings and their unsolicited marriage proposals for you are a… Rebel Princess!

Rebel Princess Deluxe Editionis a delightfully diabolical trick-taking card game for 3-6 players that is similar, yet thoughtfully different, from the classic game of Hearts.

Instead of avoiding Hearts, players are avoiding Prince Cards as they each represent one marriage proposal. Beware the very eagerFrog Prince who’s worth 5 marriage proposals! Receive the fewest marriage proposals and become the legendary Rebel Princess.

At the beginning of the game, players choose a princess who has a unique ability that can be used once each round to help them avoid those obnoxious suitors.

Each game consists of 5 rounds(one for each day of the ball). Each round adds a unique twist to the ruleset, keeping players on their toes (glass-slippered or otherwise).

Game Includes:

• 12 princess tiles
• 24 Tarot-sized round cards
• 38 linen-finish playing cards
• 1 colored scorepad
• 1 rulebook
• 1 plastic insert for all components
• 1 marriage proposal (Watch out!)

Deluxe Edition Features

• Two new Princesses and new new Round cards
• Princess cards upgraded to thick punchboard tiles
• Round cards upgraded to Tarot-sized cards with rules text on each card
• Balance tweaks to existing rules, rounds, and princesses
• A new “Rebel of the Ball” mechanism to allow players to catch up if they are falling too far behind

The prince charmings, who have not been invited, will try to infiltrate the ball to propose marriage to the girls. As a princess, you have to avoid marriage proposals and remain single and independent after the celebrations.

Rebel Princesstakes place over five rounds, representing the five days of a party, and each round has a special rule that makes each game totally different. The general mechanisms are those of trick-taking games, in which each player plays a numbered card into each trick, following one of the four suits in the game. The player with the highest number of the suit that started the trick takes all the cards of that trick but that’s not necessarily good as players want to avoid taking cards with prince charmings, who each bring one marriage proposal, aside from the enchanted frog who brings five proposals. The player with the fewest marriage proposals after five rounds wins.

Importantly, each player assumes the role of a different fairy tale princess and has a special ability that they can use once per round.
