Hobonichi Techo 2025 MOTHER: You come buying? You can sell, too. HON / A5 Size / Daily / Jan start / Mon start – Japanese Edition

This listing is for a Hobonichi Techo 2025 MOTHER: You come buying? You can sell, too. HON / A5 Size / Daily / Jan start / Mon start – Japanese Edition.

Features

This techo has a cover design based on Shigesato Itoi’s 1994 Super Nintendo game, MOTHER 2 (EarthBound in North America). It features a print of the shop in Saturn Valley on a deep moss-green cover.

You come buying ?
You can sell, too.
I, Mr. Saturn, boing
can do all for you.

Mr. Saturn offers Ness and his friends a warm welcome at the shop. The shop prints on the cover design are the only spot that is gloss silk printed for a nice shine.

The back cover has a print of the shop from the outside, which is the other spot that is gloss silk printed. This gives a nice variation to the books look and feel. Theres a ribbon on top of the roof that matches the ribbon on Mr. Saturns head. Printed underneath that are the outlined logos for MOTHER 2 and Hobonichi.

The book spine is foil-pressed in white with the year 2025 and the HON logo for easy reference when placed in your bookshelf alongside other books.

This techo comes with a Kraken Zip-up Bag based on one of the iconic boss characters in MOTHER 2. Now you can have this monster of the sea, feared by all sailors, swallow up the items you use frequently.

You can store sticky notes, lip balm, medicine, or other small items in this palm-sized clear case to stop them from scattering about in your bag. When you pull it out of your bag, feel free to use it and exclaim dramatically:

H…h…here it coooomes!

There are a total of 5 MOTHER collaboration covers in the 2025 Hobonichi Techo lineup. Theres an A6 and A5 cover with the Ness Bike design, an A6 and A5 size HON book with the You come buying? You can sell, too. design, and a Weeks book with the Smiles & Tears design.

The contents are the same as the Hobonichi Techo Cousin book. The HON A5 size includes weekly pages which track a week in each two-page spread for easy planning and contain a handy time schedule.

The bookbinding on the HON has thread-stitch binding similar to the Hobonichi Techo Cousin, so it opens 180 degrees onto the table. It stays flat even if you dont hold it down.

The book uses thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper. This paper that underwent an overhaul with the 2024 edition techo is more resistant to bleed through, lighter despite being the same thickness, and has a smoother surface by adjusting the fibers of the paper.

The back of the book has bonus pages, including Sample Symbols and Icons, How to Have Fun Keeping a Diary, and Recommended Noodle List of 47 Prefectures.

As a special exclusive only for the HON, this techo comes with a pencil board. The board is A5 size and clear, with 5mm grid lines printed across it. There are measurements printed along one side in 1mm increments, which allow for use as a ruler. It also has a pen holder attached to it where users can store pens by their clips.
