Henbrandt Retro Toys Jacob’s Ladder

This traditional wooden Jacobs Ladder toy is fun for children, teenagers and adults alike, and makes a great pocket money toy, party bag filler, stocking filler, and classroom reward or prize. The visual illusion and satisfying sound the ladder makes also mean it is a great fidget toy for those with anxiety or sensory toy for people with ADHD or ADD. Tied together with interlaced colourful ribbons, the brightly painted square slats of wood tumble downwards past each other in a visual illusion that appears to ripple with a satisfying click-clack sound. However, the cascade effect is no more than a kinetic illusion, and the wooden blocks never change position! Jacobs Ladders were popularised as novelty toys in the Victorian period, but their true origin is unknown and stretches back as far as Tutankhamuns tomb. Size: 5 x 5 x 8.5cm.

Jacob’s Ladder is a fun sensory toy or handy stress reliever.
Watch the brightly coloured wooden slats tumble down each other like a ripple as you tilt the ladder back and forth.
It creates a fascinating visual illusion.
