Eurographics – Antique World Map 1000 Piece Jigsaw

This map was first issued in the Mercator-Hondius Atlas in the 1630 edition, in response to Willem Blaeu, another successful cartographer of the time. It features an early appearance of Australias Northern Coastline and was renowned for being one of the most beautiful world maps of the era. Portraits of Julius Caesar, Ptolemy, Hondius and Mercator decorate the ornate borders of this jigsaw puzzle.
